Renewable electricity in South Africa
South Africa is the largest electricity market on the African continent. It has exceptional wind and solar resources.
In a webinar on 9 July 2020, Alan Whitaker presented AFRY’s modelling of the long-term evolution of the electricity sector in South Africa.
Brendan Cronin then moderated a panel discussion with key industry players on the prospects and challenges facing renewable electricity in South Africa. The panel included:
